Hydration, enforced
Drink water.
Earn your apps back.
drnk locks the apps that eat your day and hands the key to whatever is in your glass. Sip on camera, earn minutes, keep the streak. Water pays best.
Free to download. iPhone, iOS 17 or later.

The exchange
Water in, minutes out.
verified on camera
in one shared pool
ever holds
Three minutes a second is the default. Pick anything from three to eight when you set up, and change it later.
Every drink counts
Water pays full. Everything else pays what it hydrates.
The verifier can tell what is in the glass. Each drink has its own colour on the ring around your water ball, and its own rate. Nothing is refused. Soda just buys less.
How it works
Four steps. One habit.
drnk turns doomscrolling into a hydration habit with a loop simple enough to explain in one breath.
Guard
Pick the apps that drain you. iOS locks them the moment your pool runs dry, at the system level.

Drink
Raise your glass. The front camera watches the whole sip, and a cloud judge decides how long you really drank.

Earn
Every verified second pours minutes into the pool. Water fills it fastest, and the ring remembers every drink.

Spend
Open your apps freely while the meter runs. Hit zero and they shut, until the next glass. Meet your goal and they stay open all day.

The screens
Poured with care.
One blue, a water ball that actually sloshes, and blocks you can press. Swipe through the whole app.

Achievements
Six ladders to climb.
Every rung earns a badge, and the badges get cooler as you go. Nothing is ever taken back.
Streak
Keep a streak alive.
Goal days
Meet your daily goal.
Sips
Log verified sips.
Water
Drink it, all time.
Time earned
Screen time you drank for.
Perfect weeks
Hit or save every day of the week.
Under the hood
Strict where it counts.
Real sips only
A cloud model judges the whole motion: raise, sip, lower. A prop held to your face earns nothing, and an empty cup is obvious.
Locks that hold
Built on Apple's Screen Time framework. When the pool is dry, guarded apps shield themselves at the system level, not with a nag.
Fail-closed fairness
Nothing is credited without a verdict. Cooldowns, daily ceilings, and server-side rate limits keep the economy honest.
Streak freezes
Daily goals build a streak. You start with two freezes for the day you genuinely can't, earn one for every perfect week, and hold at most three.
Emergency passes
Life happens. A pass drops thirty free minutes into the pool. Two to start, one per perfect week, never more than three in hand.
Nightly lockdown
Set a bedtime window and the guarded apps stay shut through it, whatever the pool says. The phone goes dark when you do.
Privacy
Your camera, not our cloud.
drnk watches you drink, not your life. A handful of low-resolution frames are checked to confirm a real sip, then they are gone. Read the full Privacy Policy.
- ✓No video or audio is ever recorded or uploaded. Only a few still frames, sent solely for a verdict.
- ✓Frames are discarded immediately after verification. Never stored, never used to train models.
- ✓We never learn which apps you locked. Apple hands us opaque tokens, so we only ever know how many.
- ✓No ads, no data brokers, no data sales.
FAQ
Fair questions.
Can I cheat it with an empty cup?
You can try. The verifier judges the full sequence of a sip (raise, drink, lower), not a single frame, and it names what is in the cup. Props held still earn nothing, and a drink it cannot see pays like the worst case, not the best.
Does coffee count?
Yes, at seventy percent. Every real drink earns something, scaled to how well it hydrates: tea and milk near the top, soda at the bottom. Water and sparkling water pay full.
Does drnk record video of me?
No. While you record a drink, drnk captures a few low-resolution still frames, sends them for verification, and discards them immediately. No video, no audio, no continuous stream, and nothing at all when you are not recording.
How do the app locks actually work?
drnk uses Apple's Screen Time (Family Controls) framework, the same system parental controls use. You choose which apps to guard; when your pool runs dry, iOS itself shields them until you drink again.
What if I genuinely need an app while locked?
An emergency pass puts thirty minutes in the pool instantly, and so does a real drink. The point is friction, not punishment.
Is drnk free?
The download is. Verifying drinks, and everything that flows from it, is part of drnk Pro, billed monthly or yearly through the App Store. Invite a friend and you both get time free.
Is drnk a medical app?
No. drnk is a habit tool, not a medical device, and is not clinically validated. If you have a health condition related to fluid intake, follow your doctor's guidance, not an app's.
